About IvaBot, How I Built an SEO Tool for Small Sites

IvaBot is an SEO tool for solo founders and small businesses. It runs a full SEO audit, tracks Google positions, keywords and backlinks, and shows whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI cite your brand. It was built by Galyna Arikh, an SEO consultant with more than fifteen years of experience, and it runs on credits instead of a subscription.

Hi, I am Galyna. Here is the longer version.

How I Got Into SEO

It started as a hobby. I remember the first time I built a website and put it online, and the fact that anyone in the world could find it felt like magic. That feeling never quite wore off.

The hobby turned into an obsession and then into a career. Since then I have worked as a freelance SEO consultant across e-commerce, SaaS and small business websites, and I still do. IvaBot did not replace that work, it came out of it.

I have lived through the Panda updates that finally started penalising thin content, the era of directory submissions and paid link exchanges, the death of meta keywords, mobile-first indexing, the helpful content updates, and now AI search. The bar keeps rising, and I think that is a good thing.

Fifteen years in, the part I still enjoy most is the moment a page nobody could find starts bringing people in.

Why I Built IvaBot

Two reasons, and I will be honest about both.

The first is that I wanted the tool for myself. Every audit meant moving between five different services, and none of them told me what to fix first. I wanted something that pulled real Google data, applied the judgement I had built over the years, and gave a clear answer.

The second is that I wanted to know whether one person could build a complete product with AI as a collaborator. Code without knowing how to code, backend, payments, animations, design, copy, all of it from one person. That question interested me more than any business plan.

It took nine months and three rewrites of the stack. The answer turned out to be yes.

People with real domain knowledge can finally turn that knowledge into software, instead of only writing about it.

Who IvaBot Is For

IvaBot is built for solo founders, small businesses, indie shops, content creators, nonprofits and startups: people who work on their own websites and want to understand what is happening without paying agency prices. It is not built for enterprise SEO teams, and it does not try to compete with Ahrefs or Semrush on the size of their databases.

What IvaBot Does

There are three tools and a chat.

01

Core Audit

A full SEO audit of your page: technical health, your positions in Google, the keywords you already rank for, your backlink profile with new and lost links, and what to fix first.

02

AI Readiness

Whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI mention and cite your brand, which prompts you appear for, who gets cited instead of you, and what on the page is keeping you out.

03

Content Builder

Briefs and full articles written from live search data, built around the keywords people actually search for.

04

Ask IvaBot

Your SEO questions answered in plain language, based on your own audit results rather than generic advice.

Everything is saved in a dashboard, so you can compare a page before and after a fix. All data comes from Google through the DataForSEO API, and positions for tracked keywords are checked live at the moment of the run rather than read from a stored index.

Why There Is No Subscription

Most small sites do not need one. If you check your site twice a year, you should pay for two checks, not for twelve months.

Credits are bought once, starting at five dollars, and spent across all tools at any pace. New accounts start with free credits and no card is required, credits do not expire, and nothing renews automatically.

Every comparable AI visibility tool charges monthly, starting between twenty-nine and several hundred dollars, which is more than many small sites spend on hosting.

Built Solo, with AI

I am not a developer and never have been. A few years ago a product like this would have been impossible for me without hiring a team.

The frontend, the backend, the payments, the integrations, all of it is mine, with AI as a collaborator. I think this is a good change.

If You Need More Than a Tool

A tool tells you what is wrong. Sometimes what you actually need is someone to look at the whole picture and tell you what to do about it.

I still take on consulting work: full SEO audits, AI visibility strategy, recovering a site after a redesign or a traffic drop, and ongoing work with small teams. Fifteen years of it, on real sites with real money behind them.

If that is what you are after, write to me on LinkedIn and tell me what you are dealing with. If IvaBot on its own is enough for your case, I will say so.

A Bit About Me

I am Ukrainian and I live in Bucharest. When I am not building IvaBot I am working on client sites, learning Romanian slowly, drawing, and trying to keep up with the constant noise of SEO and AI search updates, which is close to a full-time job on its own.

What Is Next

IvaBot is new and changes often. I ship updates most weeks, read every piece of feedback, and decide what to build from what people actually ask for. If you have thoughts, requests, or want to tell me what is broken, I want to hear it.

Write to [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn. IvaBot is also on Crunchbase, G2 and Trustpilot.

Thanks for reading.
